I heard a Marvin Gaye song on the radio today that I had never heard before. What’s totally weird is that the song has pedal steel all over it, and it is a Christmas song.

Totally weird to come across documentation of Charles Ives (one of my favorite composers) singing…very badly.
Context:
Factoid: the original string arrangement for “El Dorado” that I came up with for Javelins had a short burst of Ives-esque atonality at the end, but was swiftly vetoed by the band. Whomp.
